Ms. V. Sherlin Solomi is working as a Senior project Officer for the MeiTY funded project "Development of Text-to-Speech Synthesis Systems for Indian Languages" and TVA funded project, "Speech-enabled Interactive enquiry system in Tamil" at SSNCE. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D (Full-time) in Anna University, Chennai under the guidance of Dr. T. Nagarajan and Dr. P. Vijayalakshmi. She received her B.E degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and M.E degree in Applied Electronics from Anna University of Technology, Tirunelveli. To her credit, she is a university rank holder in her post graduation. Her area of interest is speech technology and her current research work focusses on developing a HMM-based mixed-language synthesizer for Tamil and Indian English by merging the acoustically similar phonemes. She has published about 10 research papers in her area of research both in international journals and conferences.
